TouchDesigner Tutorial: Create a Liquid Noise Surface with POPs (Easy)
In this TouchDesigner tutorial, we will build a liquid noise surface using Point Operators (POPs). We manipulate a high-density Grid POP by blending Noise POP displacement with Sine Pattern POPs through a Mathmix POP. The process covers advanced surface deformation and high-quality PBR rendering with HDRI environment lighting for a glossy metallic finish. The goal is to deform a high-res grid and render it with PBR. 00:24 *Chapter 1: Logic and Overview* We generate a high-density point field to manipulate its position. Layered noise and math operators create the liquid movement effect. 01:04 *Chapter 2: Render and Camera Setup* Setting up the interactive camera viewport and environment lighting. We use a Lag CHOP for smooth movement between camera presets. 01:45 *Building the Geometry Foundation* Creating the high-density grid and applying the first displacement. We use 4D noise and animated translations for the primary motion. 02:23 *Adding Secondary Noise Detail* Finer noise layers are added to create organic complexity. We configure the attribute scope to manipulate specific point axes. 03:27 *Blending with Sine Patterns* A Pattern POP is used to create secondary wave layers. The Mathmix POP blends the sine patterns with our noise displacement. 04:47 *PBR Material and Lighting* Applying metallic textures and roughness to the geometry. We configure blue rim lighting and HDRI maps for reflections. 05:28 *Final Render and Color Correction* Setting the final resolution and adding a Level TOP for contrast. The gamma is adjusted to finalize the high-end liquid visual. ● - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ● *Connect* ◼️Patreon ⇨ https://okamirufu.com/go/patreon?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video_description&utm_campaign=new_tutorial ◼️Instagram ⇨ https://okamirufu.com/go/instagram?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video_description&utm_campaign=new_tutorial ◼️TikTok ⇨ https://okamirufu.com/go/tiktok?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video_description&utm_campaign=new_tutorial ◼️Pinterest ⇨ https://okamirufu.com/go/pinterest?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video_description&utm_campaign=new_tutorial *Subscribe to Stay Updated on Future Tutorials* Stay Strong & Make Art #touchdesigner #creativeposter #posterdesign #realtime #generativeart
